Tips for Scheduling Guests
- When scheduling permanent guests, be aware that this privilege should only be given to someone near and dear to your family. No contractor or seldom visitor should ever be given this right, because you are giving them access into the community 24/7.
- Did you know, if you enter your visitor into the Gateweb system or call the gate house in advance it only takes security 30 seconds to process them? If you are not home, visitors that have not been pre-registered will be denied access.
- Did you know, by asking your visitors to give your address when they arrive at the gate it takes security 20 seconds to process them? Although security has many ways of locating a homeowner we have found that a street address is the fastest way of getting your visitor processed.
- Did you know, we process an average of 1,600 visitors a day and 2,455 visitors per weekend?
Savanna ID Cards
This card has a picture of the person who is authorized to use it. Security checks these ID’s regularly and if it is being used by another person security must assume that the card is stolen and it will be confiscated.
Always have your Savanna ID if you are not returning in your own vehicle. It is important that youths carry their ID’s as well.
Bar Codes
Please slow down upon entering the community gates. The gate readers must read the bar code or the gate will not open. Also, if the bar code has just been placed on your vehicle it takes 24 hours for it to be entered into the system.
Note: The very first time you go through the gates (after the 24 hours has lapsed) the gate reader will scan the bar code into the system, then the second time you drive through it will work and open the gate.
Commercial Vehicles
Note: Moving vans of any type are considered commercial vehicles so this may affect your moving day!
Commercial vehicles (moving vans, vendors, service trucks, etc) are allowed into the community Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 8pm, and Saturday 9am to 8pm.
No deliveries on Sundays. No deliveries on Holidays.
Having a Party?
All Guest Lists for parties – whether at your home or at the Commons Club House – need to be entered into Gateweb no less than 48 hours before the actual event. Please be considerate to your guests and to others trying to access the community in a timely fashion. This simple act will keep the lines reduced at the gates. Contact Property Management if you need to park excess cars at the Commons.
Are You Selling Your Home?
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CONTACT THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OFFICE FOR PROCEDURES. Chances are you have signed a contract with a Real Estate Agent to show your home for sale. If you have vacated the property and left the agent in charge of this transaction the Agent can be listed as an “extended visitor” which has access to the Property. Therefore, the Agent must be in the house when the guard calls to announce a potential buyer is at the gate.
In the event that you, the Homeowner, do not reside at the Savanna address, it is imperative we have a contact number for you at the Property Management Office. You can call or E-mail us this information through the website.
